Spring is here, and none too soon. We are all so use to short winters and in Uganda no winters at all, that it is rather confining to be locked up in the indoors for 5 months now. I cannot wait to run and play with the children outdoors in the warmth of the sun and introduce little Josiah to a whole new world.

Colorado is beautiful. We have made many new friends and find the people here friendly. With the girls getting involved with 4-H, David has made many friends in the horse community as well. On Wednesday nights he attends a small men’s Bible study out in Elizabeth from a Cowboy Church, where he has made some deep community already.

We have found a local church to get involved with here in Castle Rock, Plum Creek, and we meet at the local theatre where the air is filled with the aroma of POPCORN. Yes, you read correctly, a theatre. Our new church is only a little over one year old and does not have a building of her own, but does have a heart to reach the community with the message of Jesus Christ. The whole of the church is in the middle of a 40 day community-building time based out of cell groups. David and I are leading one of them. Hosting this group has allowed us to meet several new families in hopes of developing many deep relationships. During this time, we will also work as a team to reach out to our community, which we greatly look forward to.
